I received this as gift from my grandmother for my wedding. It was the kitchenaid mixer, with a glass bowl. The glass bowl broke after about 4 uses :( simply was pouring a glass measuring cup with milk into the glass bowl and it chipped right at the spout. So upset this happened :( not sure what to do about it now. Kitchenaid is great, but can be expensive! With the name and price attached to it, I expected this bowl to last.

I'm so sad and bummed about my kitchenaid glass mixing bowl. It's what makes my mixer look so great on the counter, and I loved it. Today, I made some cake batter and washed the bowl. I set it down on the counter and then heard it crack. What a mess - glass everywhere. I always hand washed it and was so careful. For the price, I sure wish it was tougher.

I am so disappointed in my glass mixing bowl. It has chips on the rim, I always hand wash and dry it and I have no idea how the chips came to be. My mixer is such an amazing appliance, but to replace the glass bowl is very expensive.

I have had this glass bowl for about a year now. I had just made some cookies and hand washed the bowl and set it down to dry on a t-towel on my counter. I then put another bowl down next to it and it must have hit the glass bowl just right because it made a sound and I noticed a huge chip on the rim. :( I love my KitchenAid Mixer and use it almost every weekend for baking but I was disappointed that such a minor tap from another bowl [from one of my vintage - 50 year old FireKing jadite bowls] could do the type of damage it did.
